Event Description

Last April our dear friend Bill Nichthauser died. He had lived in the 19th Ward for many years and gave countless hours volunteering with PAC-TAC (Police and Citizens Together Against Crime), 19th Ward Community Cats, PCIC (Police Citizen Interaction Committee), the 19th Ward Community Association, the S.W.A.N. Community Band, the Greece Community Orchestra, the New Horizons orchestra, the Southwest YMCA and coached many kids from School 19 in clarinet.

Bill had played in the S.W.A.N. Band since its inception. While we were looking for a venue, I learned that the S.W.A.N. Band will be featured at Beats@Brooks on August 9. It just seems like a natural fit to remember Bill at a performance of the band that he loved so much.

There would be some time at the start of the event for representative(s) from the Band and other groups to say some words recognizing Bill. Then, during the intermission there would be another opportunity for remembrances.

We are planning to have an "after party," possibly across the street at Brue. Details will follow.

Date: August 9
Time: 6:30 PM
Place: Amphitheater at Brooks Landing, Plymouth and Brooks, near the Staybridge

Please PM me if you plan to attend
