Can anyone recommend a driveway sealing company? I know of one (Western NY Sealers for about $109, plus $20 to fill cracks). Thanks, MacClurg

Our driveway was done last year by Cardwell Construction and we were very pleased with their work. I just sent them an email re: seal coating it and will let you know what I hear in terms of cost. Whatever you do, do NOT use any driveway company with the name "Dukes".

Good luck and let us know what you learn!

Margy, thanks for the heads up re Dukes. My neighbor used Western NY Sealers for several years and is pleased...and I like to check around...What did they charge you?

Warm regards

MacClurg

MacClurg,

I always use someone I know from the 19th Ward, Robert Ensman.  He is a professional, doing large commercial projects and some residential.  His cell is 729-5331.  He charged me $100 and this included edging, blowing off the driveway, crack sealing, and seal coating.  Your driveway is roughly same size as mine.  Call and have him give you an estimate.  Very good job every time; I have been using him for 20 years or more.

Mark, thank you sooo much, will check into him. Hugs, miss our garden meetings....

MacClurg- Sorry, i was a bit unclear....Cardwell PAVED the driveway last year- waiting for an estimate on sealcoating it this year.If anyone is looking for a paving contractor, I'd definitely recommend them.

can't get him to answer the phone and then it sounds out of order. Can you check on number or other way to reach him? tx!

The phone book has a listing for him at 46 Woodbine:  235-5637.

thanks Mark, I appreciate your effort; I have tried both numbers and neither have an answering service; so I am not able to reach him.

MacClurg,

When all else fails, go to the Thurston Bar and Grill in the afternoon, and leave a message with the bartender.  Seriously!
