Housing Committee Minutes – September 10, 2015
Present: Donna Sarnacki, Deb Leary, Kathy O’Neill, Scott Beck, John DeMott
August Meeting Minutes were approved.
Property Reports deferred to next month since no one from the Neighborhood Service Center attended.
We need to offer support for HUD funding of the HOME program. Kathy will call Sen. Schumer’s office to determine who we should write to.
It was suggested that we find more people to monitor their blocks. Deb to write Update 19 article.
381-383 Genesee St. – owner did not show up at hearing. Owner has said that he will demolish it after Thanksgiving.
257 Barton St. was sold. John to notify the City.
177 Brooks Ave. and 817 Chili Ave. are running automotive repair garages. City is aware, but operations continue.
Open Door Mission goes before the Planning Commission on Monday, September 21 for special use permit, and Zoning Board of Appeals on September 24 at 9:30 for front yard parking variance.
Deb will catch up on posting minutes to Location19.
Deb will contact David Hawkes and invite him to attend the next meeting or send a representative.
Next Meeting: Thursday, October 8th, 11:00 AM at the Neighborhood Service Center.
