Another project we're working on is getting free trees from the city for those homes that don't have trees in their subway/tree lawn. Trees really improve the appearances and value of homes. I have an authorization form made up for residents to sign and allow our block club to act on their behalf with the city in obtaining trees. I've been able to get a few people on Inglewood Drive to sign forms and am wondering if you would like the form also. The deadline to get orders for trees for the Fall is in June (Spring trees need to be ordered by October).
Let me know if you're interested.

Laura,
Please send me the form for the trees and I will notify members of our block club.
Thanks,
Mark

If a tree has been damaged or removed, you can appeal for immediate replacement. I've worked in locations where cars jumped the curb, hit the tree, and damaged it (car didn't do well either). The city was very quick to replace it! If, as you are walking, you see a spot where there is a stump or other evidence that a tree had been at a location, you may be able to get it replaced without waiting for fall.
