Genesee Valley Little League registration took a beating this weekend due to the snow storm. We will be back on the 16th at the Arnett Library and Boys and Girls Club on Genesee St. We will likely need to extend registration all through February. I will keep you posted on locations.

Genesee Valley Little League is continuing to register players and adult volunteers. We will be doing walk up registrations through the month of March at the Arnett Library on Arnett St. every Saturday, 10AM to 2PM.

You can also stop by the Boys and Girls Club on Genesee St. The registration cost is as follows:

1. Tee ball. Ages 5 - 7. $40.00
2. Minors. Ages 8-10. $45.00

Included in this fee is one complete uniform. Jim Dalberth of Jim Dalberth Sporting Goods on Genesee St. is our uniform supplier.

When you come to register your child please bring the child's birth certificate and insurance ID number. 

Spring training begins the first week of April.

Opening Day of the season is May 4th at Genesee Valley Park.

It's official!! When you pass Genesee Valley Park this spring, you WILL  see kids playing Little League Baseball. Thanks to the newly formed Rochester Youth Baseball Coalition we are partnering with other Little League teams in the city to insure our teams have a full season of baseball. Genesee Valley Little league is partnering with Eastside Little League and Southeast Little League to insure a full season of play. Come see us play this season.

Genesee Valley Little League signed it's first team sponsor today. Eureka Lodge #36. F.&A.M. Prince Hall Affiliate said yes and enthusiastically sponsored a GVLL team. It's been a long time coming but its finally here. Genesee Valley Little League has it's game season opening day tomorrow morning, Saturday May 4th at Genesee Valley park, field 3 next to the tennis courts. Our own 2 T-ball teams, the "Cowboys" and the "Yankees" face off against each other at 10AM. We will have opening day ceremonies between 9AM and 10AM. Genesee Valley Little League Opening day a great success. 

With weather about as perfect as one could ask for Genesee Valley Little League stepped onto the fields of Genesee Valley Park to opening the official playing season. Our 2 t-ball teams the Cowboys and Yankees squared off against each other at 10AM. Later in the day our minors team faced a strong Irondequoit team in Irondequoit at McAvoy Park at 3:30PM. IT'S OVER! Genesee Valley Little League closed out the 2013 baseball season against Irondequoit 5 minors team at Genesee Valley Park. Actually the weather closed us out. A predicted thunder storm cut short the game but not the spirits of those at the game. Thats baseball for you. This has been a great season for us and we thank all of the 19th ward and the southwest quadrant for it's support. We especially thank our team sponsors for their generous financial support which allowed us to purchase the things necessary to make our season successful. I'm already looking forward to next season and an even bigger and better Genesee Valley Little League. Thanks to all of you.

As GVLL celebrates 59 years in the 19th ward, Little League Baseball celebrates it's 75 years! Our board is working hard to offer a great program for 2014. Opening Day For Genesee Valley Little League

Genesee Valley Little League is holding it's Opening Day celebration Saturday May 10 with a parade at 9:30AM from the Neighborhood Center at the corner of Brooks and Genesee St. to Genesee Valley Park. We hold our ceremonies at the park and then the kids will play baseball. We will likely field 6 teams this season. We are rebuilding. It takes a lot of effort but our children are worth every bit. Come out and support us. This is our 59th season in the 19th Ward. Hope to see you at and in the parade and at the baseball field.

GVLL will play its first regular season games this Saturday May 3rd at Genesee Valley Park. Heres the schedule:

1. T-Ball teams 1 vs 2 at 10AM field 1
2. T-Ball teams 2 vs 3 at 10AM field 3
3. GVLL minors team 2 vs Irondequoit LL at 9:30AM field 2
4. GVLL minors team 1 vs team 3 at 12 noon.

Donations to Genesee Valley Little League

As Genesee Valley Little League continues to grow, so do our expense. Besides solicitation of sponsorship from our local businesses in the Southwest quadrant, individuals may also contribute financially to the league. One can contribute in whatever amount you wish. If you do contribute you may send all funds to Genesee Valley Little League, PO Box 24371, Rochester, NY 14624. GVLL is 401-c-3 tax exempt and all donations are tax deductable.
