Tell us about yourself:
My grandmother used to live in an apartment on Thurston Rd above the shoe repair shop. I remember visiting her as a child and going to Merrill's Five and Dime. There was a Silver's drug store, a bakery and the movie theater. I always enjoyed the gardens right next to my grandmother's building that are still there today!
Before we moved to Inglewood Dr, we lived on Genesee Pk Blvd. Somehow the 19th ward has always felt like home to me. I want to see this area restored, how can we make it happen?

Thank you for joining and welcome to Location 19. I'm sure you'll find lots of interesting topics here and if you want to let us all know about something, just post it. Also, please post a photo (anything's got to be better than what's there now!) - even a photo of Jake will do nicely :)
BTW, I love the wreath on your door and how it changes with the seasons.
