Tell us about yourself:
Active community member interested in Preservation as well as diversity and support services for my community. I have been a Board member, Chaired 2 Corn Hill Arts Feestivals and I am currently staff to the Corn Hill Charette and Historian
I'm delighted you joined Location19. I look forward to working with you and other residents from Corn Hill on the SWCC and on housing issues. Now that you are a member, when you sign-in, you can post to the Discussion Forum, Events calendar and Blog section of Location19 and you can join any of the various groups to participate in the discussions there. I invite you to join 19th Ward Housing Committee, so we can coordinate our effort. Being a group member lets you post to the group and also permits you to receive email notifications from that group about events and other info that may not be posted on Location19 itself.
Keeping up with new postings and participating in current discussions is one of the main uses of the site. To do that you need to look at the "Latest Activity" column on the left of the Main page. It is easy to miss new postings if you don't use that feature since new postings can get buried in the complex structure of the site. It's also a good idea to subscribe to the Daily Email Digest so you receive a summary of new activity on the site in your email.
Make sure you make use of the search options. There's a ton of information you can search for and read through on Location19. If you use the search box at the upper right of this and all other pages it looks through the entire Location19 database and returns all occurrences of the word. If you are looking at the Members pages or Groups pages, which you can find under the Connect tab, and type the same term in the search box under the All Members or All Groups heading on the left, it will return any occurrences of the term in those respective pages.
I look forward to your participation. If you have any questions don't hesitate to call Marian or me at 328-4271.
