SW JOBS

Our week was very productive, we were able to accomplish our tasks. On Monday, we had a day off because we have to work on Friday for the SWAN block party. On Tuesday , we finished interviewing business owners on Genesee street. On Wednesday we went to Rochester Works, and they presented us with the correct ways to make a resume, and then we made are own resume. Today is Thursday and we painted posters and signs for the SWAN block party on tomorrow. See More

After that we went to Rochester Works ! and did a interviewing workshop class. I enjoy it and learned many new things and good tips for interviews about what to do and what not to do. Today my group and I walked around in the 19th ward (Southwest Area). The street we were assigned to was Genesee st. We interviewed the business owners. we asked questions like do you hire youth, if no why not ? we also mentioned are they familiar with location nineteen. We received mostly positive feedback from the business owners. The only negative thing we found out about the businesses was that they weren't hiring youth because they were a family business, or didn't hire because they only hired people 18 and up.See More
