Unfortunately, most of us missed the community forum last night regarding budget priorities. Please take a few minutes to take the online survey. As Mayor Warren and her budget committee try to close a $41 million gap in the budget, it is important that they hear from us regarding our priorities. Open this link, http://www.cityofrochester.gov/budget/ which will take you to the City of Rochester budget information page,…
ContinueJohn,
Thank you for keeping me informed. I appreciate receiving the meeting minutes and updates. The more I know, the better I can help when in the NY Senate.
-Joan Elizabeth Seamans, Candidate NYS Senate 61
Thank you John. I look forward to exploring Location19 and all of the opportunities to hear community perspectives.
Hi Karen Have you heard of Pac Tac? It's program administered by RPD where you receive training and walk with a partner, carrying a radio and basically acting as an observer, reporting things like suspicious activities, persons in need of assistance, streetlights out, etc. Contact Officer Carl Dickerson or Officer Andy Dimaria at the Genesee Neighborhood Service Center, 428-7630 if you'd likemore information or to register for training.
John thank you for your welcome. I am very curious to see what or how things play out behind the scenes when it come to the future of the 19th ward. I take frequent walks throughout the neighborhood regularly and I find it exciting and frustrating at times by some of the things I observe.
John Thank you! i have the SWCC meeting on my calendar and was planning to attend. Unfortunately i have another meeting scheduled for the SWCC education meeting date but i so look forward to going to the next one as i am interested in the concerns being discussed and addressed. So i look forward to meeting you this Thursday! thank you so much!
Ha! I just ran across your comment a year and half later; however, better late than never. Thank you for the warm welcome, John!

Thank you very much John!
Thank you for the info!
John,
Thank you for the details for the site! I'll add myself to a couple of the groups and try to at least keep up with what is happening on the education front.
As you probably know, resources are being allocated to bring Wilson back to the place it used to be! One of the goals I have for the PTSO next year is to build community within and around the school. It is my belief that the school will only be successful if it is filled with students, staff and families that want to be there. The school and surrounding community should be beneficial to each other! For example IB students need to have community service hours to graduate. Some of these hours could be be spent working in the neighborhood and the more students that live in the neighborhood that attend school in their neighborhood the better.
I'm sure we'll have a chance to discuss this more in the near future, maybe at the art show and/or PTSO meeting!
Lori
Thanks for the welcome John and thanks for all the advice on how to navigate around Location19!!! I look forward to meeting some people in person and discuss the upcoming events in the area. I'm bummed I missed the meeting this past week, I had to work, but hopefully I can make the next one. Look forward to chatting with you some more! Thanks again!
