Daylight Savings Time ends on Sunday, Nov. 4th. Change your clock and change your batteries.

On November 4th when you change your clock be sure to replace the batteries in your smoke and CO2 detectors and test your alarms.  Also take this opportunity to practice your home fire drill.

City asking for your help to identify locations needing bike racks

The City of Rochester needs your help to find suitable locations for their post & loop or inverted-U bicycle racks. Most of the racks are on the City’s east side so locations on the west side of the City would be especially helpful.



To be considered for installation the location must meet the following guidelines:

1. Must be within the City Right of Way or on City property;

2. Must serve a viable business or destination;

Solicitors

From our new Crime Prevention Officer,  Andrew DiMaria:

   There was a complaint yesterday of a solicitor at a residents home on Roslyn St.  The resident is older and lives alone.  An unknown male claimed he was selling a supplement for home security systems.  He did have an ID but it’s unknown what it read or if it was legitimate.  He was not let in the home.  He apparently did not go to any other homes either.  The resident in general did not feel…

Trafalgar House Warming/Open House is canceled

Kuo and Lisa Downing-Reese have asked me to notify people that the House Warming/Open House they were planning for March 19th at their Trafalgar home is canceled because of a family emergency.  Their cousin Julie is very ill and they have asked for your well wishes and prayers as they provide her support.  They plan to reschedule the event as soon as they can.
