These Beautiful 19th Ward Kittens are Available for Adoption!!!

CATastrophe in the Ward- How Everyone Can Help!

The "cat group" has been busy lately.  Last week it came to our attention that there are two cat colonies in the Ward with lots of kittens.  We've contacted the people who are feeding these cats and we are staging an intervention of sorts, educating them about spay/neuter resources among other things.  We've already begun the spay/neuters, completing two this week. …

This Wonderful Cat Needs a Home---ADOPTED! Thanks All!

This cat was put out by his owner and denied food and water. One of our 19th Ward neighbors, Pam, responded to this cat's constant cries and brought him into her home. She is calling him mittens. She has several pets already and needs to find a home for him. She is not "on the internet" so I am posting for her. I met mittens and he is extremely loving. He purred and let me touch him immediately. He loves attention. I am not a veterinarian but I am quite sure he is a neutered male. He is thin…

Supporting Local Businesses- The French Quarter

My husband and I go to The French Quarter on Arnett Blvd about twice a month. Last night we went with another couple from Marlborough Road. I can say nothing but good things about this place! As per usual, for our experience last night, The French Quarter gets an A+ on all counts (food, atmosphere, service). If you have not been to this lovely place yet, please try it. You will not regret it. They added Derby Pie to the dessert menu a little while ago. Have it warmed with some vanilla bean ice… Continue

JB Manin's Speech at the 19WCA Convention 11/22/08

JB's Speech.pdf

JB is the new president of the 19th Ward Community Association and a member here at Location19. This is an abridged verson of the speech he gave upon being elected. It outlines his hopes and intentions for the 19th Ward. I was lucky enough to be there for the real thing. I'm hoping this will be helpful for those who could not be there.
