At the Public Safety meeting on Wednesday Kristin Runyon stressed the value of keeping a porch light on and mentioned the cost:<br />
Approximately $1.00 a month for all night every night for a 60 watt incandescent. Around $5.00 a month for all night every night for a dual flood light. Those number go down dramatically if you install the newer fluorescent bulbs. The chart is on the RG&E website if you want specifics.

Morning Mark, The all night burning of porch lights was traditionally a <b><u>National Night Out</u></b> event. Blue lights, donated by RG & E, were passed out at the picnic after the motorcade. My house looks like a holiday house year round! The squirrels have fun at night with the motion sensor lights attached to the back of the house and the garage. Keeping encouraging 'All Night Lights'!! Burglars HATE lights as do loiterers.............
