You are right. Bring it to the attention of the writer and editor, and maybe they will run a correction and clarification about the location of these neighborhoods. Meanwhile, the article is still great publicity for DeliSandro's and hopefully will help bring customers to this great new addition!

Hey folks! I wanted to let you know that we also noticed the mistake in this article, and reached out to the Campus Times, clarifying neighborhood borders in the southwest. The editor was grateful for the feedback, and has both corrected the original article in the digital edition, and posted a correction in the print edition.

Thank you Colleen. There definitely is quite a bit of confusion about where the 19th Ward is. It appears that quite a few people on campus think that the 19th Ward is anywhere west of the river.

Most welcome, DeWain! Yes, you're correct - this is a nagging perception, which can be difficult to combat, particularly due to the transient nature of the student population. The UR is aware of/proactively addressing the issue; we take every opportunity to educate all members of the University community about the unique identity and assets each neighborhood offers. Thanks for adding to the conversation.

I stopped in on my way home from work yesterday, because my son in Boston heard about this place. Go figure! Anyway, it's looking good, and he's added his first vegetarian sandwich, a caprese on Martusciello's bread, which just doubles the pleasure of any sandwich. It was great!

Oh what a friendly, cozy, and "up" place! "Mamma" Deli Sandro, and of course Tony make it a truly warm place. I went in with Marian and John B. the other day. I had something (the name escapes me) with cheese, tomatoes, and I think some kind of sauce on their great bread. Delicious.

They make and serve their food with love. And, of course that's what we all need, meaning the neighborhood, and those of us who live in it--be it Plex, the 19th Ward, COTS, Cornhill, SWAN--sorry, I probably forgot some.

Caprese is what you were looking for. Vine Ripe Tomatoes, Fresh Mozzarella, Basil, Olive Oil, Salt, and Ground Pepper.

Hello!

I just wanted to let everyone know that tomorrow (as in Friday October 26th) the Democrat and Chronicle is coming to do a story on us and we would love for as many people to be here as possible.
