The Education Committee of the SW Common Council will meet Thursday December 5th from 6:30 to 8:30 pm at Dr. Charles T. Lunsford School No. 19 in the library.
Principal Eva Thomas will give us a review of the school and take us on a tour. This will give us an opportunity to discuss with Principal Thomas what is going well, what the current challenges are, how the school uses the attached Flint Street Community Center, busing issues, Common Core deployment, the use of volunteers and anything else that comes to mind.
The agenda will include:
If you have not had a chance to review notes from the past two meetings, here are the links to those notes:
The SW Education Forum contains all documentation from the past year's activities.
Note that Seward St. is two way in front of School 19 between Magnolia and Reynolds but otherwise it is one-way going south-west from Hawley to Jefferson. There is parking on both sides of the street in front of the school and also in the parking lots off of Magnolia on the south side of the school.
John Boutet has decided to hide the list of guests.
