Day Meeting Notes for Posting
March 28, 2012

The Meeting convened at 11:10am.
Present: John B, Henrene B, Peter E, Berda G, Lee K, Toni O, June R, Donna S
Toni: For Graffiti call 428-5990. That includes posters that deface properties and spray paint.
Peter will put together a letter to give to the Mayor at Palm Sunday breakfast asking for list of houses taken over for back taxes and on demolition list.
Report on street activity: Henrene had three code violations on Thurston that she handed in to the committee.
393 Post complained about letter received by the committee. Totes and trash in the yard were two of 3 problems and take no money.
51 Summerset was sent info about resources.
Lee reported on 47 Wellington: check into it. There are $18,000 of back taxes owed . Theresa Tauson aka Maria Tauson is the owner. She has also a NY City address. Is there fraud?
Kenwood is a mess. It is in district nine. Peter and Lee will take care of writing up code violations. Toni and June will do totes there in mid April.
How do we get kids to learn to pick up trash. Donna talked about Clean Sweep. Libraries might have info made available for children to keep streets clean.
Donna mentioned the church on Sawyer and Post has totes in plain sight. John suggested getting churches involved. Interfaith Group on Location19 might be place to post an invitation to work with kids to keep neighborhoods clean.
128 Chili renters are still working sporadicaly on planned daycare but Lee and June have not caught then in to warn them about sex offender in the area.
Donna reported on Post Ave . She and her daughter did the whole street and found 3 new violations to report, in addition to the many she had identified before.
96 Chili: We need to follow up now that house is to be demolished. It would be nice to leave the porch up as a gazebo.
1st and 3rd Wed for day meeting, 4th Thursday for evening meeting
