Owner:  Mohammed Subeh

Comments:  Owner Mohammed Subeh has been at this location for 16 years.  Prior to that he worked in the grocery business for several years for an uncle on the west cost. 

The attendant at the checkout is Mohamed's nephew Nor and he is a student at RIT.   He works for his uncle to help earn money for college.  Nor and Mohammed are very pleasant individuals who make customers feel welcome.

This store is a destination for neighborhood walk-ins.  There are one or two parking spaces in front of the store on Thurston and some on the side of the store on Rosalind Street.  The goal is to expand into the store next door which the owner has purchased.  That will make room for more groceries.  They will have a food kitchen in rear of existing store. 

The store is clean.  Given the space limitation the selection is limited to what sells well to the current clientele.

Mohammed was at a recent 19th WCA delegates meeting.  Last year when PAC-TAC had a corner cookout nearby, Mohammed donated hotdogs when we ran out.

We asked if they currently have a problem with people hanging out at the corner to sell drugs and were told there are no problems there since the blue light camera went up across the street.
