Check out the video.  On May 23, 2016 ROC the Future and the Rochester City School District put on an Education Leadership Forum at the Nazareth College Arts Center where Robert Sornson gave a presentation on Competency-Based Learning.  The City School District is looking at incorporating this approach to their K-3 program.  RCSD Commissioner Elizabeth Hallmark asked I record this presentation so that she and others who were at a conflicting meeting could see the presentation.  You can watch it via this link:  https://youtu.be/F_zAtzGkFnI

I sincerely hope the district implements this approach ASAP.  Competency Based Learning and morphing our elementary schools back to neighborhood and community schools are a necessary combination to turning our schools around.
