-> The 2015 Silver Sneakers celebration at the SW YMCA was held on December 11th.  As always we had a great time.  A big thank-you to all the staff and patrons who helped make this such a joyous event.

-> On February 27, 2015 the SouthWest YMCA once again had its Black History celebration.  It was great to see everyone again at this Y which is a jewel in the culturally diverse 19th Ward in SW Rochester.

-> On February 21, 2014 the SouthWest YMCA had its Black History celebration.  This is an extremely friendly neighborhood Y where everyone is made to feel welcome.  It is a jewel in the culturally diverse 19th Ward in SW Rochester.  Click below to see a video of the event.

Love-15 Tennis Program

YMCA Love-15 is a free instructional group tennis program open to any Rochester, NY city resident age 8 to 16.The sites are strategically located to target underserved minority youth who would not ordinarily have the opportunity or inclination to play tennis. The summer session is conducted in July and August for 6 weeks, Monday through Friday at three locations in Rochester. It serves 350-400 children each summer.

Its my 1st anniversary of joining Thurston Road YMCA. A small investment for great staff , great members and its in our neigborhood.
