After reading about some of the recent concerns and tragedies in the area, this was a reassuring and hopeful piece to come across. I am not very knowlegeable on the status of the Brook's Landing project nor any other possible intentions for the surrounding area. I suppose that will be my next objective. I…See More

Hi Lena,
Welcome to the neighborhood and to Location19. Wellington is a lovely street and I'm sure you will enjoy it. There are a couple of meetings coming up that can help you get involved in making your new home and neighborhood a safe and pleasant environment. On August 25th is The Public Safety/Thurston Road Street Watch Initiative meeting will start at 6:30 at the the Presbyterian Home. The following day Officer Kristin Runyon will give a presentation at the Arnett Library at 310 Arnett about how to start your own block club. Kristin is a great person to get to know. She is one to the Crime Prevention Officers at the NSC office at 923 Genesee Street. Her phone number if you ever need to contact her is 428-7635.
Hope to see you at one of the coming meetings soon,
John
