What Is RocSOUP?
• a grassroots collaborative
• a public supper
• an opportunity to support creative people in your community
• a way for friends and neighbors to connect to achieve positive outcomes
• a democratic experiment in micro-funding
RocSOUP is a grassroots activity to fund
small creative projects that improve the
community. A group of community members
gather to share an affordable meal and learn
about aspirations for community improve!
ments.
The RocSOUP team selects 3 or 4 miniproject
proposals prior to the supper and
helps the proposal writers prepare 4-minute
presentations. Everyone who purchases a
supper listens to the presentations, then
votes for their favorite project. The winner
takes home all the cash raised from the
supper, and returns at the next RocSOUP to
report on progress.
