Many of you are aware of 19th Ward resident and Delegate LaShay Harris who recently had her home on Aldine St. burned due to arson in the next-door abandoned garage. A group of Aldine Street neighbors/friends of LaShay are uniting to try to make a difference. Come to a fundraiser BBQ, from 4 to 7pm, after Square Fair on Sat June 5, right in front of LaShay's home on Aldine Street, one house in from Woodbine for hot dogs and drinks for $1 each.
We will also be collecting donations of household goods (and monetary donations, if you so choose) on June 5 as well, both at Square Fair and at the BBQ on Aldine Street. LaShay was asked to register with Target and JC Penney. You can find her list of needed items in those stores or online. If you have similar, gently used items, you could consider donating them.
