The Boys Academy at School 9 in the Rochester City School District is a successful program. Young men in grades 3-8 are taught important life skills leading to better academic outcomes. Despite this success, the program is being dismantled. The 7th and 8th graders are being moved to the Leadership Academy for Young Men at Charlotte High School. The 3-6 graders are staying behind. At the same time, parents were not informed or included in this important decision.
