Is there a link to any news story? I heard it was supposed to be at 6, possibly later, but we didn't get a chance to see it.

BTW, here's another idea (and Hunt's has already agreed it would be a nice thing that would help them) - some Saturday soon do a kind of "In Store Clean Sweep" during which we descend like cleaning locusts: wiping down/cleaning off the shelves, wiping/dusting off the stock, washing windows (if needed), sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, whatever. Dave told me a well-known resident (unsure if he wants me to mention his name, so I will leave that to Dave) has offered to paint the floors, so if we could do a pre-painting clean up it would be a great follow-up to the Cash Mob. If we could inform the media far-enough in advance it would give Hunt's even more free advertising and attention. They said Saturday was one of their slower days so we wouldn't be as much in the way. Any takers? Even just 6 would be a good sized crew.

On the 19th ward and southwest rochester good things are happening here facebook page, I have posted a poll question of if there was another Cash Mob where should it be. Its an open poll meaning people can add stores or shops to the poll. John may be able to do the same thing here on Location 19.

The Cash Mob at Hunts Hardware was a huge success.  Bill Hunt reports that their volume was up a 1/3 for a Saturday and there average sale was up $4.  It can be hard to move an average so that means people bought a lot.  This will give them a chance to now restock the store after we helped partly empty it yesterday.  I stopped by a few times. it was great to see so many people in the neighborhood out doing shopping. I know it also inspired some ideas on how to improve area businesses. So keep your ears open.  If you had an great thoughts on insights post them here on the 19th ward and southwest rochester good things are happening here facebook page.

I stopped in, and picked up a couple of items:  the ever-popular (and always needed) furnace filter along with some stuff to get rid of the moss in my lawn....spent some time talking to staff about when to use the product on the lawn.  Early spring is best, so the timing was excellent!  Great idea!  Support local merchants!

We went, and like Mark spent more than we had planned, but it was for a real good cause. I have been going to Hunt's since I was a kid. They always go the extra mile for all their customers.

I look forward to hearing the results from Cash Mob. My neighbor John Burch and I found some great items.

I stopped in and spent way more than planned!  But for a good cause, supporting a local business.  Heard it was successful.  (The Meneze's pizza was excellent, as always.)  There was some exposure on Ch. 8 news at 11 pm.  Very good promotion, Dan D. and thanks for thinking this up and leading the way for a great way to help the neighborhood.  Supporting local merchants is the best thing we can do to help keep things moving along with positive results for all who live and work here.

I hear that there will be coffee in the morning, and pizza around noon. Otherwise stop by any time. There is no one time to show up. I myself will be stopping by sometime around noon.
