Event Description

There are still open spaces for the 4-day Nonviolence and Work that Reconnects Summer Intensive on July 7 - July 10 2012 from 9 am - 5 pm each day.

This experience is designed for any individual who is interested in the principles and practices of social change through nonviolence.


During the first two days of the workshop (July 7+8) participants will learn about:

- the life and teachings of Gandhi and Martin Luther King, Jr.

- civil disobedience
- nonviolent movements today
- nonviolence and religion/interfaith dialogue

During the last two days of the workshop (July 9+10) participants will learn about:
- deep ecology and sustainability

- grief and empowerment
- deep time work
 
The Intensive will be interactive with a focus on group-based learning.

We request a donation between $20 - $200. No one is turned away due to lack of funds.
Certificate of participation is granted.

You are welcome to join us for all 4 days or for Saturday + Sunday or Monday + Tuesday only.
