Event Description

As part of the Kenwood Blocks in Bloom program this spring the organizers of that program reached out to School 29 to take on establishing a butterfly gardenin the NE portion of the empty corner lot at the Kenwood and Kirkland across from the School.  The City participated by providing mulch, gravel, bricks, a bench and tilling of the garden area.  They also installed a post for us to install a Little Free Library on.  Students from the school started work on the garden and a gravel path in June.  Over the summer volunteers completed the work on the path, installed the Little Free Library, planted more flowers and kept the flowers watered.
