Event Description

The SWCC represents leaders and community residents who meet to contribute to the vision and planning for the SouthWest Quadrant.

This month in keeping with our desire to encourage understanding of racial issues that are impacting our country, we will forgo our regular meeting to participate in a UR presentation.

This presentation Sponsored by the University of Rochester’s Arts, Sciences and Engineering Deans’ Office coincides with our Thursday, October 15th at 6:00 p.m. EDT meeting time.  Since this topic, In Caricature: Racial Profiling and Its Impact on Black America” falls right in line with our desire to improve the understanding of these important social issues, we will forgo our regular meeting to participate in this lecture presented by Dr. Michael Eric Dyson.

Please use the below link to register for this virtual event:

When you have registered you will receive your Zoom link and Passcode.

If you had a topic you wanted to discuss at this month's meeting you are welcome to send it to me and I will put it on the agenda for next month.  You can check out the minutes from our last meeting at SWCC Minutes 9/17/20 Note that all these minutes are entered as "Discussions" on Location19.org to which you can "Reply" with comments or question if you are signed in.

Hope you can join the event on Thursday.
