Celebrate the birthday of Frederick Law Olmsted
Saturday, April 18th, at 5 p.m.
Come out to the newly restored Lamberton Conservatory in Highland Park and celebrate the birthday of the father of landscape architecture in this country. The designer of Rochester's park system, Frederick Law Olmsted designed Genesee Valley, Highland and Seneca Parks. Along with the traditional cake and beverage, you're invited to enjoy a guided walking tour of the Poet's Garden.

General Information. Highland Park is a beautiful park that is host to many fun activities, events and interesting attractions. Highland Park offers the Lilac Festival in May, where there are games, crafts, food and fun! The Lamberton Conservatory, which is a beautiful collection of plants from many different places, is open all year around. Many memorials and gardens are located in the park, from The Vietnam Veterans Memorial to the Aids Remembrance Garden. A softball diamond is also available for use.

The Lilac Arches and Lamberton Conservatory are available for weddings and pictures reservations. The Sunken Garden is also available for rental, but limited to pictures only.

This started before Easter Sunday and I updated, but could not change the start date in the system.

Finally made it there and it is a must see! Stunning. The inside of the new building is beautiful. The plants of course need more time to grow into the space, but go check it out on a sunny spring day!
