Event Description

The recent executive order banning Syrian refugees and many Muslim immigrants from entering the country is an undisguised act of bigotry and xenophobia. We are standing in solidarity with our refugee community, Muslim community, and immigrant community, and speaking out against bigotry, xenophobia, and intolerance in our community and in our country. We are also asking our local officials to maintain our sanctuary city status against threats of federal action.

No one in Rochester should be regarded as illegal, unwelcome, or unwanted. Our community should and must be open to all.

I agree with the last paragraph, but don't know that Rochester has a choice.

Look forward to four more years, unless ???
