Event Description

City of Rochester series at the Cornell Cooperative Extension on Highland Ave. will have a free feature with Beverly Gibson, who maintains the historic Ellwanger Garden on Mt. Hope Ave. for the Landmark Society. Ellwanger was one who helped give Rochester the name, "Flower City." Ellwanger & Barry shipped plant materials worldwide and the history of the nursery business in Rochester is fascinating. Anyone interested in Rochester history and gardening should consider attending.
