Event Description

The coffee and conversation scheduled for tonight has been replaced by a Budget Open House from 6:30 to 8:30 at central office.  This is an even more important event for us to attend.

At this event Superintendent Vargas and members of
the board will be positioned in the room and people
can move from person to person discussing whatever.
At the last one of these which was focused on the
Facilities Plan the 19th ward was well represented.

SW Education Committee, Monday February 4th, 2013 Meeting at Arnett Library

A way of reopening School 16 while fixing 3rd floor hot room problems.

The School 16 building on Post Avenue has been closed and School 10 program on Congress Avenue is scheduled for moving to the east side in School 1.  These meetings are a good opportunity to push the proposal to keep these neighborhood schools open in the 19th Ward and refurbish or rebuild them ASAP.
