I should have listed this as an RPD Community Outreach, Mark. Information I've received from CPO Trovato is we will have Pac-Tac, Court Watch , RPD Mounted unit and K-9 unit on hand along with numerous volunteers to answer questions going door to door. The emphasis will be answering questions residents may have of a public safety nature.
The Southwest Neighborhood Service Center (along with other quadrants) is hosting a series of Community Uplifts. Florence Clemmons usually post these events along with the dates, times, locations, and specific details on Location19. All are welcome. Those "uplifts" also are a door to door canvasing effort to distribute a variety of quality off life and support information. At those events they leave bags at each residence with a variety of informational fliers inside, if they dont find the resident home.
What do volunteers do at an "uplift?"
