The Education Committee of the SW Common Council will meet Monday, January 7th at 6:00 pm at the Arnett Library with all interested community members to review information learned at meetings and a walk-though at School 16 this week. This review is to help us prepare for the important Thursday Board - Community Conversation on Facilities Master Plan where we will be advocating for reopening a revitalized School 16 facility and keeping Schools 10 and 44 in the 19th Ward.
All parents, residents and teachers interested in schools 10, 16 and 44 are invited to participate and prepare for the School Board hearing.
A review of the recent 19WCA school position statement can be reviewed at School Position Letter from the 19th Ward Community Association to the RCSD and all concerned. Additional information will be posted or distributed at the meeting. We are making progress! Let's keep up the pressure and work for an acceptable solution.
Our thanks to Bruce Tehan for once again keeping the Arnett Library open late for this important discussion.
