The Education Committee of the SW Common Council will meet Wednesday, May 20th  from 6:30 to 8:00 pm at the Arnett Library with all interested SW Quadrant community members to discuss ways to support neighborhood schools in SW Rochester.

We will review our success in keeping School 44 open through at least 2018 and discuss the latest on plans for renovation and reopening of School 16 on Post Avenue.

   • Connecting with local families of students -  School 16 Renovation Letter to Parents
   • planning options for 44 students post 16 reopening on Post
   • Getting City Council approval of school board resolution 627 to spend Phase II funds (start renovation on 16)
   • Short distance busing legislation
