Plymouth Square

1158 S. Plymouth Ave

At the Charette on Saturday a number of people brought up the vacant lot across from Frank-N-Steins. Here is the proposal we submitted last month to the city for that parcel. Feel free to comment and add insight! Thanks!

I think this is a great idea! I am a little concerned with parking; that corner on Cottage St is already a big problem with parking when the Brothers Club is going full steam. But I think it is worth a few more parking issues to have a community resource like this.

Amazing!  Do click on the link to see the whole proposal.  It would be a great asset for that area.

Looks delightful!

Is bocce something that neighborhood residents have shown any interest in?

It has been amazing! We put one in our back yard a little over a month ago, then we needed a grill, then some benches, and it is still a work in progress. Every time we play we get people walking by asking us what it is and how its played. Then the next time they walk by they ask "when are you ready to lose? I am ready to play" We have had many contenders come as strangers and leave as friends. Thus far it has been an excellent tool for meeting new people and just a really relaxing time. Replicating what we have been able to do in the backyard and building on a grander scale with more development and versatility it could really be a strong driving force in attracting more family oriented consumers, tenants and home owners to the area.

All rightie now!!!!!  I love the ideas of this Visionary!!

I am a lesser than GREAT BOCCI player, but I love the game!!  Never really thought much about the game until my daughter introduced us to it while camping.  I think we ALL now own  Bocci, Croquet and Horse Shoe games.  I for one foresee some neighborhood Block Club Bocci competitions!!
