Be carefull as it is someone operating out of their home, I believe, not a business.   I would look in the Yellow Pages and get three quotes, and go from there.   I do not question Jinny but would take a very cautious approach to this, and even more so to your thought about waterproofing. That is pricey.   It is also a field ripe with people waiting to take advantage .... there are responsible firms, but move cautiously, check with BBB.  As you are doing, good thing to look for neighbors advice if anyone has had this work done and are satisfied.

Discount Gutter is a "real" business, recommended to me by Peter Evans our 19th Ward Contractor guru- I trust Peter's suggestions for all home repairs and improvements. They replaced the long side gutter on my house, price is per foot.

 

I can't speak to their home/business address but know of a few businesses that do operate out of their homes for telephone and mail and keep their trucks and equipment off site.

 

Also, if you have a gutter issue, it may help with the basement water issues you also posted about.
