There has been a recent string of burglaries on S Plymouth Ave. Previously this post was dedicated to one specific incident. Due to the feedback we received and its effectiveness... Let's open this discussion up to include ANY AND ALL incidents in the area. Anyone else that would like to contribute information, I encourage you to do so! In the past couple of months we have accumulated a great deal of footage surrounding many of these crimes. Unfortunatley the footage alone doesn't always do the trick. We need to make everyone aware of exactly what is going on in the Community. This process does take some time to put together. One by one i will be compiling the footage and posting it here until these crimes stop. A lot can be learned about how these crimes are committed just by watching them. IT IS TIME TO TURN ON THE LIGHTS!
Here you will find the links to the videos I have compiled:

October 26th 2012 - 1155 S. Plymouth Ave - Theft -

January 29th 2013 - 1199 S. Plymouth Ave - Home Burglary -

February 8th 2013 - 1191 S. Plymouth Ave - Car Burglary -

I also want to give anyone the opportunity to contact me regarding setting up a similar system to watch over their home, business, family, and property. In many cases these systems cost less than $500.00 and take about a day to set-up. Once set-up they are maintenance free and can be accessed from anywhere in the world with the use of your smart phone. Contact me at ajdd85@gmail.com.

I WANT TO HELP YOU GET THE TOOLS WE NEED TO HELP STOP THESE CRIMES!

They were probably trying to rectify their grass violation. Lol

This is definitely a brave step for a resident to take, however, Tony has said what we have all been thinking and skirting around the issue..........' WE HAVE HAD ENOUGH!' and he has decided to do something about it.  No more let's talk about it, let's be about it!  Was it the right thing to do, we will see down the road.  But at least there was a step taken instead of a bunch of 'headed in no direction' discussion...........Let's not let him stand alone on this one. I think the criminal element in this community needs to hear, loud and clear, these SW folks/stakeholders pay attention and will fight back.  Technology is definitely on our side.  What do we have to lose? But, we could gain a safer community, lower homeowners and renter's insurance rates, and some similance of peace of mind. Why is it necessary to take inventory every time you enter your home or check for a broken car window every morning because that's what it has come down too.

Amen! Everyone needs to be on board! We need to stop making excuses for the criminals. If you want to enable them and have them continue to terrorize your life and house. OK! However, they are not welcome at our houses. The NSC police have stepped up and have been amazing. Thank you!

Will you help me get set up at 1070. Cameras everywhere. What kind of remote control car should we use? Maybe the remote control Spyder.

I WILL be getting my cameras installed too and plenty of light installed outside! Light up and film the night!

I think, when we catch the little bugger we should ask the judge if he make restitution by giving the lawn mower back and cutting all of neighbors lawns for the summer. This way the word will get out...if you do the crime in the SW you will have to give restitution and sweat equity! Court watch.. Here we come!!!!

I have added the January 29th incident it can be found in the discussion header.

Has the investigator that was assigned to this case been in to see you yet? We need to find out who it is!
