Not yet. Any ideas?
I would seriously root for a nice clean laundromat!! There is none in the neighborhood. I have to cross the river to do my laundry.
It really is a good suggestion, others have expressed interest in that service as well. For me passion, vision and the ability to make the space interesting are huge contributors to the continued success of the business. Truth be told, I would have a tough time maintaining interest and facilitating a laundromat with a WOW factor. At the same time this is a great forum to brainstorm how it could be done differently and more uniquely than other places. Sometimes all you need is a spark and a once boring concept can develop brilliant vitality.
There is a new laundromat on Genesee St and one on Thurston! No need to cross the river!
Neither of those is in the PLEX neighborhood. The one on South and Gregory is closer to me than either of the ones you mention.

The Brooks-landing LaundoMat it is where "Swallow" use to be
I will check out the Brooks Landing Laundromat. ddn't know it was there.
YAHHHHHHHHHHHHH for the lights. Thank goodness you did NOT install the UGLY Mercury vapor lights that most stores in the area use...............Light up the night!!!! Nice to be able to see thru the windows too and they are BIG windows. Wow no need to always load the shopping cart into the car and ride to the public market, I may soon be able to stroll right around the corner for my kitchen needs!! Looking forward to the walks to the Westside Farmer's Market and the ????? Market this summer. Will there be a small selection of cheeses????? Ya know the more they age the better!
We are really happy with how they turned out. Believe it or not, amazingly, they are those low energy compact flourescent bulbs that emit equivalent to a 100 watt incandescent bulb but use a fraction of the energy and last something like 5 years. It is still the ????? Market at this point and it may be simply just "Market" unless something as simple and more appealing comes along. As for cheeses...the idea of a small selection is tough, i mean... who doesn't like cheese? we are limited on space though. No guarantees, but preferences???
After school snack of a cheese n veggie/fruit tray is a lot healthier than calorie and salt laden packaged snacks. Make it interesting and serve with chop sticks!!!! (a little cultural exchange!!)
