How about PLEX Deli & Bazar. You are going to be trying to attract PLEX residents. Granted many don't know they live in PLEX, particularly the U of R students, but you are identifying yourself as part of PLEX. Most people have a good idea of what a Deli is. No confusion there. Bazar ( or bazaar) is a bit more unusual in most peoples parlance. How many times have you knowingly walked into a "Bazar" in Rochester? It piques peoples curiosity and accurately describes what you are thinking of doing.
I think the PLEX Bazar & Deli rolls off the tongue a bit better but the deli is going to be your main business I think. People will say "I'm going to run over to the PLEX Deli."
It looks pretty good in various fonts:
We all think that Deli Sandros is a very clever play on D'Allesandro's and I love the font you have picked. Keep in mind however 99% of people walking or driving by won't have a clue that it's a play on D'Allesandro's.
I really like Deli Sandro's; with the apostrophe it has a personal touch, like "Lorraine's Lunch Basket" , "Cathy's Closet", "Bill's Carpet", etc. It feels very hometown and local, and like the owner is very present. "Bazaar " makes me think of a flea market (every flea market along route 2 in MA was the "So-and-so Bazaar".
I thought the issue of the name was all settled..Deli Sandro's is perfect..leave it alone!
ditto!
I certainly appreciate the feedback and I do understand the concerns you brought up. We have evaluated them and if I wasn't to be present I would tend to lean more in your direction. I am going to be there to be the face of the this operation and I think as Barbara mentioned it does give it a more hometown feel. Also we have already applied for all of the permits and such with Deli Sandros.
Your final sentence certainly clinches the argument! :) Thanks for showing us around yesterday. I think the place is looking great! (Love the interior lighting)
MacClurg Vivian,Thank you for the support! No worries its all going to be the same on the inside despite the name on the outside anyways. Hope to see you down there when we open!
ANTHONY, THANK YOU FOR THE GRAND TOUR THIS MORNING!! So exciting and loveeeeeeeeeee the color scheme!!!
Well Espresso machines are huge investments. It doesn't seem like it would be outrageously expensive but a high quality commercial espresso machine is about $15,000.00! That wouldn't be something that we could afford right away. In the mean time we are looking into getting a Lavazza machine. The lavazza makes really good consistent espresso shots with minimal training. Check out the link for more info. http://www.coffeeforless.com/lavazza-espresso-point-espresso-machin...
Believe it or not... I am so happy with hot dogs and ice cream that I dare not ask for anything else. My husband absolutely did not believe me about Frank N Steins. I had to drive this man over there just to prove to it to him. Now if I can just get something in the neighborhood that will keep him from wandering around Walmart all hours of the night! What is it with senior citizens and Walmart???! LOL okay, don't tell him I said that.
ummmmmmmmmmmmmm this senior sees this.........................LOL
