You may have noticed in the D&C that Mayor Amelia Valle Vargas from El Sauce, Nicaragua was in the Greater Rochester area. The immediate reason for her visit was because of a link forged with SUNY Geneseo that has seen a number of students travel to El Sauce to work in community and business development. (see D&C article) What you probably DIDN'T know was that Mayor "Rosita" visited Kingdom Ventures' location at The Arnett last Sunday evening (10/4) and spent 1-1/2 hours with Glenn & Rebecca. This came about because of a fortuitous combination of circumstances that has resulted in pine needle baskets from near El Sauce becoming one of the latest products being offered in KVI's shop. Although we have only three of these unique baskets in the store window, our full order is expected to arrive in time for our Fifth Annual Holiday Open House on November 6-7 @ The Arnett.
