Citizen Explorers, a program of the Neighborhood Service Centers and Cornell Cooperative Extension is looking for organizations to host youth workers for 7 weeks during the summer for 21 hours per week. The youth will be paid by us, all we ask is for proper supervision.

Citizen Explorers is comprised of 2 programs, Citizen U and Rochester Explorers. Each program serves a role in making youth more civically engaged within their community. The Citizen U program serves to promote asset development, while exposing youth the college atmosphere. The Rochester Explorers program takes youth on a journey of self discovery and self understanding. Together, both programs strive to promote civic engagement and workforce preparation. Our youth come from various background and interest, but they all passion to work. We've had several organizations to approach us looking for youth workers, but we want to keep all of our youth in the community they live, play, and are edcuated in, and that is the South West Neighborhood.

If your organization (or if you know of one) could use a youth worker for the summer, contact me as soon as possible.
