Introducing the Spring photo contest. Its a five or six part competition. The contest is to be the first to post pictures or a video from this Spring of any of the following items. The pictures must be taken in Southwest Rochester. The items are: the first Robin, the first outdoor flowering plant, the first crocuses, the first daffodils, the first forsythia, the first tulips, and last but not least, the first boat on the Genesee River between the canal, and down town Rochester. At this point there is no prize, other than knowing you were the first to post. If anyone wants to come up with a prize and sponsor the contest, let me know. I would picture seven small prizes and one larger prize just in case someone wins in more than one category. For the flowers, be sure to post a location with the picture so anyone who wants to can drive by and see the flowers. If they are in a private area like a backyard, just say so, so no one goes and trudges back to look.
The contest is being hosted on the 19th Ward and Southwest Rochester Good things are happening here page. Photo's can also be posted here.
