The City of Rochester has begun an important project to update its comprehensive plan. As a part of that process, the city has established five planning area committees (PACs) of residents, citizens, business owners and other stakeholders. One of the five planning committees includes the Southwest portion of the city. Each committee will be engaged in a nine month planning process. During that process, the committees will be developing a future vision for the city, analyzing important city demographics and data trends, identifying potential future land uses and development opportunities, establishing priorities making final recommendations.
We need your help in this major effort to develop a new vision and plan for our city and are asking you to volunteer and participate in your local planning area committee for the Southwest. For more information about the process and how to join your committee, please contact SW NSC Administrator David Hawkes at 428-7632 (email at David.Hawkes@cityofrochester.gov ) or Doug Benson, Associate City Planner (project manager) at 428-6824 (email at Doug.Benson@cityofrochester.gov ).
