Please, please -- watch this and forward it to everyone you know. This was a brave young man trying to make a positive difference in a very difficult world. He was gunned down in a random shooting. The police don't think he was the target; just in the wrong place at the wrong time. We are losing a whole generation of young black men to violence, death, and prison. It must change. Lawrence Richardson wanted to be part of that change. Maybe in his death he still can. So help this video go viral.  Let his words speak on.

Sometimes you can read more into what's not said. I guess people are at a loss for words. We are indeed losing a whole generation of young black men, the ones that lose their lives and the ones that find it so easy to take a life.

Thank you for posting the link to the video Barbara.  I took some pictures at the Rally Friday and put together a Kodak Gallery album which can be found at :  120420 Lawrence Richardson Rally

I also put together this Collage of pictures of Lawrence extracted from the Youtube video:

Here are just a Few of the pictures from the Rally which started a 4PM Friday afternoon.

The turnout was relatively small compared to the Trayvon Martin march but this rally was 4pm on Friday the day after the funeral.  The Trayvon Martin March was on Sunday the 25th when everyone was off from work.

Adam McFadden was one of many speakers at the rally.

Saw Emily Good and Diane Watkins and several other people that I know.

Hopefully when this young child grows up the streets will be a little kinder to out teens.

Lawrences coworkers from Teen Empowerment played the sound track from the Video they put up on Youtube which features excerpts from Lawrence's speeches.  All his friends from Teen Empowerment were having a hard time dealing with the loss of this wonderful young man.

Wonderful job, John.
