You are right that we have more going on than usual in the area. I will pass on the need for special attention. We need to address it at Adam McFadden’s thing also.

Subject: Increasing Problem

Kris,

When I was driving home from work tonight abought 7:15 PM, the end of Enterprise at Thurston was blocked by a car and females were out blocking the street and arguing with each other. They may have been from a bar at the end of the street. I finally sounded my horn and drove by over the side of the street. There were later further arguments and people saying to call the police. I am not asking you to do anything but note that this is a problem, as last week I had the same problem. The police were called last week as gangs of young adults were fighting in the street. This week again I could hear people calling out for 911. There was fighting in the street so you could not even drive down. Then there were large gangs again walking down the street. I don't know what is happening, as we have never had anything like this before. Any insight? Or at least can someone have more support down here at that time on Saturday nights?

Thanks for sharing this Mark. When the camera went in at LeHigh on Thurston, we started to see an increase in activity on Penhurst, in what we feel is an attemp to avoid the camera. I guess it brings up the idea that we need to be prepared such as knowing that a camera is going up in our area, or that 7-Eleven is closing. We have many groups and organizations and individuals all trying to accomplish the same goal. But we are missing the mark when it comes to communicating with each other. I am not sure what the answer is, and I'm not saying that better communication is the answer to our problems, but I do know that it impedes our ability to act as one unified community.
