Notes
This month the crime incidents have involved the firing of gun rounds. There are very few incidents
to report.
120 Milton Street, March 16, 2014-Reckless endangerment, four rounds of fire struck front door of this property.
179 Penhurst Street- Three shots were fired at the house in the last month and a half. This is not a random event. On February 24th girls were fighting at school and were sent home. However, one the young girls came to 179 Penhurst Road and the fighting resumed. It was reported that a gun shot was fired into the air and all fighting ceased. On March 8, 2014 eight (8) gunshots fired. Casings were found. Again on the 18th of March, nine (10) rounds had been fired, several bullet holes to the house. At least 9 casings found. We assumed people had been shot, knocked on the door, no one answered. Finally, we went into the home and the two people in the home weren’t hurt. They just did not want to answer the door. This is a rental property.
177 Brooks Avenue-March 19, 2014-Fourteen (14) rounds had been fired in rapid succession. They found struck twelve times 7.26 rifle rounds. Not a round that people normally shoot up houses with. Two houses behind this address were struck. No one was hurt. This is still being investigated as one casing was found. These were not random events, there was a target.
20 Weldon Street- March 21, 2014-Domestic violence-Two gun arrest made 25 caliber semi- automatic recovered. Victim said he had a gun in his car, it was unloaded but not stolen, and however, he had it illegally.
411 Genesee Street –Criminal possession arrest of a weapon- Security officer in the area overheard the suspect talking and indicated he had a gun. Security officer called 911 and we made an arrest.
