Good Morning All:
Attached is the April Job Search Companion. This month I focused on "buzzwords" that recruiters say will kill your chances to get that interview. I can personally say I have made some of these same mistakes. So, Take a few minutes to read what they have to say, you may be surprised yourself.
Have a Great Day!

This month’s article is “Keeping Your Job Search Groove”.
We have all heard clients say that they got so frustrated with job searching that they just gave up. It’s understandable given how today’s job market is so challenging, physically as well as mentally. Hopefully this month’s article will help everyone gain a like understanding, knowledge and some new tools to help them make the most of their time. We all know, the more productive your time the less frustration you’ll feel.
Also, Believe it or not, it’s that time of year again where Seasonal Jobs are in abundance. We dedicated Page 3 to all the companies already hiring for the Holidays.

Attached is the September Job Search Companion. This month we focused on the steps everyone should take to be prepared for that quick request for an interview. We see many clients who are diligently looking for a job but when that call comes in to interview "This Afternoon or Tomorrow" they are not prepared. They have focused so much of their effort on just getting an interview because they have the belief that they will have ample prep time once that call comes. Unfortunately, in today's economy, that is not the norm any longer. We are seeing companies get approval today to hire and looking to fill the spots by the end of the week. This is forcing them to interview and make a decision within days instead of weeks.
Please take a few moments to read and discuss with our clients.
Thanks,

Attached is the Aug Job Search Companion. This month we researched the major employment web sites and combined a listing of the most common fields of employment along with the number of current positions in each field.
We feel this will provide us and our clientele with a basic understanding of what fields are hiring & growing in today’s market… Please take the time to talk with our clientele about researching these fields. Many skills they have already acquired can cross over into other fields. Encourage them to research what specific skills may be needed for different fields of employment. They will discover they already have a few if not many of the skills needed to obtain a position in a different career path than what they are currently in….
Thank you,
