I received the following from a representative at ABC, Inc.

Dear Eleanor,

I am a Parent Advocate with Action for a Better Community’s Head Start program. We are currently jointly planning a collaborative event with the Perinatal Network of Monroe County. It is tentatively titled “Healthy Bodies, Healthy Neighborhoods.” A planning discussion involved talk of making neighborhoods healthier and encouraging community involvement through the creation of neighborhood gardens or green spaces.

 It is my understanding you have some experience in this area through your work with the 19^th Ward Community Association. We would very much like to speak with you in order to develop some ideas which could be incorporated into the above mentioned event, as well as inform some larger initiatives we might take in the future. Thank you very much for your time and attention to this request.

Would love to have some of the SW Garden Group in attendance.  Following are the proposed meeting dates/times:

Tuesday 11/30, Thursday 12/2 and Tuesday 12/7 – afternoons,

Wednesday 12/1 and Friday 12/3 – all day,

Monday 12/6 until 11:30am.

I will be out of town from 12/8 – 12/15 for training.
