NEWS RELEASE
The Inglewood Drive Block Club has received a $500 NeighborGood grant from the
Rochester Area Community Foundation for its Inglewood Drive Block Club Improvement Project.
NeighborGood grants are designed to help resident-controlled, neighborhood-based organizations in the City of Rochester involve citizens and improve the quality of life in
their neighborhoods.
The mission of the Inglewood Drive Block Club is promoting a greater sense of cooperation among our residents; having a voice in all civic matters affecting our community; maintaining and improving our property; developing a sense of individual obligation to the area in which we reside, and resolving important issues of the neighborhood including but not limited to crime, safety, and beautification.
The Community Foundation is a permanent community endowment that assists individuals, families, businesses and organizations to establish funds that aid specific charitable interests or evolving needs in the community. Since its founding in 1972, more than 1,000 funds have been created, allowing the Foundation to address a broad range of regional needs, including youth and family programs, early childhood development and education, civic engagement, arts and culture, environment, the aging, and women and girls. See www.racf.orq for more information.
