Comments: Owner Fuad Ali has been operating this store for almost 20 years. He plans to expand into the one story building north of 398 Thurston next year.  That building has already been purchased.  During the past few years he has opened up windows  so you can see inside and to make the store brighter.

   This store is a family operation.  When we were there his nephew was at the register.

  Past the checkout in the back of the store is a clothing department.  Across from the checkout are three aisles crowded with merchandise.  Coolers with beverages are along the noth side of the store.  

   In the north east corner of the store is the deli and grill.  They recently enlarged the kitchen and it is huge.  The next day I stopped by to pick up some fried chicken.  It was excellent and very reasonably priced.  They'll give the Colonel competition. 

   We inquired about the drug activity on the street.  They still have problems with drug dealers and have to call police all the time.
