Comments: Sales at the Mini Mart consist of beverages (no alcohol,) lottery tickets, snacks, accessories, some grocery staples. Ibrahim said business has been steady, and they have experienced no problems. Camera is on corner.

At the Pizza & Chicken shop you can get pizza, wings, fried chicken, gizzards, chicken fingers, subs, burgers and various sides and deserts. They have a Halal menu available.  Delivery is available for $2, $10 minimum, 235-5499.

The Mo-Joe's Mini Mart is right on the northwest corner of Chili and Gardiner.

The store is clean and orderly and not overcrowded.

Mark interviews Ibrihim Ahmed.  He was born in Yemen, went to school in Detroit, then moved here. His wife, mother and sister are still in Yemen, and he is working to have his wife move here, but says it takes many years.  His brother Musid works in the Pizza and Chicken shop three doors west of here.

Their coolers are stocked with Soda, Juice and Milk.  Ibrihim said they normally stock whole milk and 2%.  They don't carry alcohol, which was nice to see.

Ibrihim has an assistant working with him.  In the background you can see they carry a few articles of clothing such as socks, gloves, hats, belts and tee-shirts.

On the counter at the front of the store they have menus for the MoJoe's Pizza & Chicken shop.

Three door down, on the other side of the same building is MoJoe's Pizza & Chicken.

The Kitchen is in the back behind the ordering counter and display case which has various foods ready to take out.

Behind the counter in the red shirt is Musid Ahmed, who cooks and takes the orders.   Ibrahim in blue walked down to make sure all our questions were answered.  His brother is a new arrival and still learning English. 

We wish Ibrihim and Musid well in their new enterprise.  It is always nice to see a hardworking family become part of our neighborhood.
